Tim
Tepe has worked as a commercial artist since 1975. After graduating
from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, Tim pursued further studies
and earned a BFA degree from Edgecliff College.
His
commercial work began as the art director of WBGU-TV, the
public television station for northwest Ohio. In this position
Tim developed a unique look for the graphics and set design
with the innovative use of graphics and illustrations. Other
commercial work has included several years of advertising
agency and corporate work.
Tim
has received numerous awards and recognition for his art and
photography. A photographic illustration for a national magazine
received recognition in the New York Art Directors Show. Another
photography project was selected to be part of a permanent
exhibit in the Smithsonian Museum.
Tims
illustrations have appeared nationally in corporate work for
Hobart Corporation, Crescent Cardboard Company, St. Anthonys
Messenger and many others. Locally Tims work has been
selected to promote the Appalachian Festival and the Public
Library of Hamilton County. His works are part of collections
of the Ohio State House in Columbus and Childrens Hospital
in Cincinnati.
Along
with his commercial achievements, Tim has continued to develop
his fine art style. His early work was primarily in pastels
and watercolors and is part of several private collections.
His work has been included in many shows over the years, including
the Hyde Park Show, Viewpoint, Sand the Arts Consortium. Over
the last few years, Tim has returned to his favorite medium
of oils on canvas. He paints in his home studio in the west
side of Cincinnati where he resides with his wife Barbara
and daughter Kate. |
